Housing & Residence Life
Please indicate your interest in housing on your application. Housing options include residence halls, student apartments, and townhouses. Dining Services
Students who live in the Residence Halls are required to choose one of the Mason Resident Plans, with exception of seniors (completed 90 credit hours), grad students and students living in apartments and townhouses that have full kitchen facilities. Those students not required to purchase a Residence Plan may still do so, and may also consider one of the many Mason Commuter Plans.

Meal plans may be used at all three George Mason University campuses. Fresh foods prepared directly to your plate are available at Campus Crossroads in Ciao Hall, which offers cafeteria-style unlimited service. The cash equivalency program provides students with comfort foods, gourmet coffees and sandwiches, salads, Taco Bell, Freshens Smooties, Sub Connection sandwiches and more. Mason Money
Mason Money is our declining balance debit card system. Two accounts are available. Mason Money - Food Service can be used at all dining locations on a sales tax exempt basis for a-la-carte purchases or to cover excess equivalency purchases. Mason Money-Retail can be used at stores such as the Bookstore, Parking Services, and Health Services, as well as Express locations for bottled drinks and pre-packaged snacks. It?s okay to have both. Financial Aid
Students interested in applying for financial aid should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it to the Federal Processor by March 1. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible after January 1.
