Visit Mason

Whether you're just starting your college search process or trying to make a final decision we encourage you to come experience Mason for yourself. There's no better way to learn first hand if Mason is the place for you. If you're from out of the area, combine your visit to Mason with a trip to The National Zoo, The White House, or The International Spy Museum, all just a short metro ride from campus. See below to register for one of our daily tours, Monday-Saturday or to find about how to arrange your visit to the Washington, D.C. area.

Campus tours, led by our student volunteer group Mason Ambassadors, are offered throughout the year. An information session (designed mainly for freshman applicants) is presented by an admissions counselor before each tour. The information session and tour together generally lasts about one hour and forty-five minutes.

When You Arrive for Your Information Session and Tour

Parking
Parking is available in the Visitors Parking Deck off of Mason Pond Drive. The Office of Admissions will validate your parking. Please note that parking citations are often issued to vehicles parked in locations other than the visitor’s parking deck if they do not have authorized parking decals.

Check-in
Please check-in 10-15 minutes before the information session at the Office of Admissions located in the George W. Johnson Center in room 213.

Information sessions start promptly at the times listed, and generally last 30 minutes. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, our office will make every attempt to accommodate your needs, however we cannot guarantee a student-led tour. Self guided tour packets are always available through our office and a counselor will be available to answer questions. If you are not visiting during regular office hours, self guided tour packets and admissions information can be obtained at the Information desk located in the Johnson Center atrium.
